Who Should Go Green
66Purposes for Going Green
Go Green? What? Why? These are questions that many people are probably asking when someone mentions anything about Going Green. Little do they know how important it is to Go Green. Here are a few reasons one should Go green, and who should be doing it.
Do you use electricity to run your home? How about using electricity for the computer that you are now reading on? Do you run water in your home from a water plant? If you drive a car that uses gasoline, you are using non green sources for power. These examples are all areas of most people’s lives that create carbon footprints in our society. If you have been in the dark about the changes that people are making everyday to Go Green, here is your chance now to hear the news. GO GREEN TODAY, SAVE OUR AIR, WATER, and ENERGY SOURCES.
Our energy sources can be redirected in many ways that you may be unaware of. Wind can be used to generate power to communities when wind farms are built. Trash can be burned instead of put into landfills to produce energy. Methane gases that seep from landfills can now be collected and turned into energy. This also reduces the awful smell that comes from landfills. Using hydrogen fuel cell cars, which are very new to the automobile industry, can decrease our need for oil consumption. The most available and easier to access and afford way to save energy is to buy a hybrid car.
Going Green can also mean living healthier lives. Just put this idea into perspective: if we reduce our energy consumption in half, we can afford those foods that are healthier for us, like organic fruits and vegetables. In turn, eating healthier means keeping the doctor away, leaving our insurance premiums at a lower cost. Now who would like to be a part of that? I know if you are reading this, you are thinking how great it would be to have less doctor and insurance bills coming in the mail. Even with the new health insurance bill being put into place by president Obama during 2010, everyone should still consider their best interest, and that means leading a healthier lifestyle.
If you are still in doubt about Going Green, then perhaps delving into more details will give more informative persuasion for doing so. Perhaps speaking with people from organizations that work specifically with renewable energies can give you greater insight.
